Dog or Cat Vaccines at "Low Cost Shot Clinic" on Saturday, March 20, 2010

FOTAS invites dog and cat owners in Jackson County who need to keep their pet's vaccine's up-to-date (or give their pup or kitten their early shots) to come to the Jackson County Animal Shelter on Saturday, March 20th, 2010 between 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Bring dogs on leash and cats in crates. The animal shelter is located on Hwy. 99 in Phoenix, Oregon.

Payment is by cash only. Vaccines are $10 each, and are administered by a local vet on-site. Does your dog need a nail trim? A local groomer will also be on-hand for nail trims, that are just $5.

As usual, Friends of the Animal Shelter (FOTAS) volunteers will be on-hand helping to keep things organized and enjoyable. (There is usually a line though, so please come prepared to wait.)

The volunteers and animal shelter staff also enjoy this monthly event (usually scheduled for the third Saturday of every month), because we get to see some of the "Shelter Alumni" when they are brought in by their adopted owners for vaccine updates. Let's face it, our volunteers have spent lots of time and "given of their heart" to care for those dogs and cats when the furries were in the animal shelter, so everyone naturally loves "new beginnings" and seeing how well the beings we've loved are doing. So, if you come with a dog you've adopted from the Jackson County Animal Shelter, please let us know.

NOTE: FOTAS Fundraiser - Purchase a tasty, enjoyable dish of self-serve frozen yogurt from Yogurt Hut in Ashland (140 Lithia Way) on Wednesday, March 10, 2010. Part of that day's procedes are being donated to Friends of the Animal Shelter, to help us continue our work.
