Great Harvest Bread Co. is baking a seasonal treat -- white chocolate cherry swirl bread -- this week.
While this ooey, gooey loaf of loveliness won't make great sandwiches, it does make a wonderful snack or a sweet start to the day with coffee. I got a loaf directly out of the oven this afternoon and sliced it up about 45 minutes later, when the chocolate was still melting and the bread was just warm. If the loaf lasted, it would probably make killer French toast, too, in an over-the-top sort of way.
At $10.75 a loaf, it's not cheap, but it is a lot tastier than a bouquet of flowers you might pick up at the grocery store for the same price.
This is an honorary Friday Fave, released on a Thursday so chocolate lovers can get a head start on the weekend rush. Everybody loves Friday, but I'm striving to
share something else I love each Friday. Friday Faves will feature things that I like and think that others might enjoy, too.
