Dawna, Thank you for this brief history on the Hanleys. I think you should be drafted to put it into print. Self publishing isn't too difficult, and this is an important story. If Hanley farm is to exist, it needs to have it's story out there for mo…

I agree with George's comment re: selling off the things we are trying to preserve. It is, without gloss, a stupid idea to sell any real estate at the bottom of the market. To contemplate selling treasured historic properties to private owners outsi…

Thanks for noticing! I'm looking forward to seeing the exhibit - will be back in Ashland to attend the 2nd Friday lecture on the 12th. I hope there is a lot of interest in this; Victoria does such a good job.

I recognized your name, as well as Victoria Law's, in this weekend's story about the new exhibit of Chinese artifacts at the Ashland Historic Railroad Museum. It's fun to see people from on this site in the news.

Julia... yes, certainly, to george@preserveoregon.com.

The Murphy Family indeed had a ranch near the Lithia Springs property, still do in fact, and the city purchased land from them in 1914 as part of the famed "Lithia" bond, that resulted in the development of the site and of the park. What is your family name?

Hello Julia... Thanks for you comments. And, yes, I'd love a scan of any images that you may have of the Lithia Springs property!

I like your profile photo. Please tell us more about it. Who are those people and when was this neighborly photo opportunity?
