"Polar Express" has been hot at our house ever since it came out in 2004, but I've just about reached my limit with the long train trip to the North Pole. And certain members of the household are still too innocent to watch "A Christmas Story." It's time to share the wealth -- what's your favorite movie this time of year?
At some point I will hunt down "It's a Wonderful Life" and sit down to watch it. I also enjoy "Miracle on 34th Street" both old and new versions and "Scrooge" same both old and new. I will also try many different Christmas movies because I have found that some of them I really enjoy, time well spent!
My "favorite holiday movie" is really two and I can't pick between 'em:
The 1951 Alastair Sims version of "A Christmas Carol" (now that's the real deal!) and the Burl Ives narrated "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer."
I enjoy watching both "A Christmas Carol" & I own "Rudolph the Rednosed Reindeer" narrated by Burl Ives. I also own "A Christmas Carol" but I'm not sure which one I need to find it.
i have 3 of my 4 favorite versions of Christmas Carol on VCR tape - George C Scott, Kelsey Grammer, and Patrick Stewart. the original version will make my collection complete.
I am planning on seeing Avatar and Its Complicated some afternoon after the kids go back to school.

I have to see "It's a Wonderful Life" and "A Christmas Story" once each year. I have never seen "Polar Express" . . . I'll have to rent it. Oh, I forgot! Chevy Chase's "Christmas Vacation" is a hoot!
