Traveling To Southeast and Northeast - Any Advice On Where To Fish

Leaving for a 10 days to travel Southeast and Northeast Oregon. Anyone have any advice you can give us? It will be catch & release since we'll be staaying in motels.

You don't say where in Northeast Oregon, but if you like catching smallmouth bass and you're anywhere near the Middle Fork of the John Day River, I'd highly recommend it. This time of year they are absolutely voracious and will bite almost anything.

Thanks for your advice! Yep! The beautiful John Day River is on our short list along with a couple of others. I fished the John Day just out of the town of John Day and caught lots of trout on both flies and lures. Very nice trout too. They average 10 to 16 inches. All were released to fight again!
